What Will I Make?

You will create your own stained glass piece to take home with you and cherish forever. We provide a large selection of pre-drawn, beginner friendly patterns for you to choose from. You will select your pattern and make it your own by choosing from a variety of glass!

What is included?

​All necessary safety equipment including gloves, safety glasses and fume extractors are included. All necessary tools and consumables are included. You will be able to choose one 6" x 12" sheet of glass, or two 6" x 6" sheets of glass, as well as having access to our large selection of scrap glass. Any unused glass will be returned to the "scrap" glass section for the next students to use.

Where are Classes?

Classes are located at either Red House Studios, or The Sub Station. Red House is just 5 minutes south of Inglewood In the industrial area of Alyth/Bonnybrook, Calgary. AB.   4035 14 St SE. ​ Red House Studios is a community art space built in an old house.  It includes multiple private art studios, an art specific tool library, a dye garden and a common room/ workshop space. Glass classes will be held in the workshop space.  ​ Learn more about Red House Studio on instagram https://www.instagram.com/red.house.studios/ ​ The Substation's address is  ​ 2225 15 St. SE Calgary, AB ​ Located in Inglewood's light industrial corridor. Tucked away between the train tracks and 9th Ave. Inside a historic electrical building.

What happens if you miss a class? How long is the class?

Missed classes will be handled on a case by case bases. Typically it is possible to schedule a make up class or come in early to a following class to make up the time lost. Please let your instructor know so that arrangements can be made, and or send an email to Slimchanceglass@gmail.com to make arrangments.  ​Classes run for 2 hours, once a week, and are 5 weeks long.

Accessibility

​

Red House Studios was built with accessibility needs as a priority but has some constraints being built in an old home. There are two steps, a built in but steep ramp and a 1:10 ratio ramp available upon request. No internal stairs and 36" doorways. Bathrooms are not fully accessible but have been modified for a front transfer from a wheelchair. The bathrooms were made as wide as possible with germ resistant railings on 3 walls and an outward swinging, self closing door.  If this doesn’t suit your needs please let us know, the building next door is fully accessible and has offered the use of their facilities upon request. Glass classes are meant to be an inclusive and safe space.

No bullying, sexism, racism, homophobia, or any other form of discrimination will be tolerated.

Return Policy ​​​

If for some reason you have to cancel your enrollment you must do so at least one week before class begins to get a full refund,
and so that your spot can be filled.
