Lilac Mini Skull Stained Glass Suncatcher

This mini skull stained glass suncatcher features lilac coloured glass with hand painted enamel details. After hand painting the skull on the glass, the glass then gets fired in my kiln to permanently adhere the enamel to the glass. Just like the old masters used to do on church windows.

Roughly 3'' x 3''

I made this using traditional stained glass techniques ( a skill I have been honing since I was about 12 years old ) This process includes, cutting the glass to shape then grinding it to make sure it is perfect, wrapping in copper foil, soldering it together then cleaning, polishing and patinaing the solder. All of these steps are done by hand and with great love and care.
